Historic Monterey Field Trip - 2019

Each year, the Club conducts a competitive field trip, usually to a unique local venue, in which we compete in eight image subjects. This year on March 24, 2019 the Club chose to photograph historic sites within old Monterey. This year's subjects were designed to showcase various historic Monterey structures with an eye to capturing the beauty, strength and importance of these iconic buildings. The list of subjects included: the "Old Custom House", "Casa Soberanes,",the "Royal Presidio Chapel", the "Larkin House", the "First Theater", the "Cooper-Molera Adobe", the "First Brick House", and "Colton Hall and Jail". The participants also enjoyed a lunch together at Abalonetti Bar and Grill, on Fisherman’s Wharf during the mid-day light. The day was a beautiful sunny day and the members created some striking images.

The Club has established a three-division competition. Group A - advanced photographers, Group AA - intermediate photographers, and Group AAA - developing photographers and new members. Presented below are links to winning images for each group.
